Welcome to the Category Challenge, a challenge I started around... oh... a month ago in my own gallery and journals. That said, yes, this gallery has permission to repost my stamps and hype images.

Welcome to the Category Challenge. Since that month, it has slowly begun to pick up in speed, a few Deviants displaying its tag in their journals and also playing along. With that in mind, this gallery has been created.

This gallery will be host to all the information and hype images, as well as serve for favoriting all the Category Challenge responses--though I will do that on my own as well. Consider this the club. I will post people's challenge responses on here and deal with the Challenge on here as best I can.

That said.

This is the Category Challenge: at least one image in each base catagory on DeviantArt. Preferably images in the subcategories. What are these categories?

Traditional, Digital, Photography, Literature, Artisan Crafts, Customization, Flash, Film (not necessary), Designs and interfaces, Manga/Anime, Cartoons and Comics, Anthro, Fan Art, DeviantART related, Resources, Community Projects, Scraps.

The real challenge is, how much can you deviate from your art style? What can you REALLY do with your art?

Daz3D. (3D people)
The GIMP. (Photoshop-esque)
Inkscape. (Vectors)
Terragen. (3D landscapes)
Blender. (3D modeling)
Google Sketchup (more 3D stuff)
And you can get OpenCanvas 1.1 for free, it's just hard to find--they upgraded to a way better program, but if you can find their first one, it's a freeware program.


Unfortunately I have not yet found a free version of Flash to solve that category. Windows Movie Maker exists for film but it's doubtful you could produce something good enough... unless you're hand animating and making gifs or something.
